this proposed 40-story carbon double-helix tower would be the lightest and strongest building of its type. this is a project by Peter Testa and Devyn Weiser of the Emergent Design Group at MIT merging architecture, artificial intelligence, and material science. some of their tools include GERMZ : Genetically Recombinant Modeler, MoSS: Morphogenic Surface Structures, and GENR8: Generative Form Modeling.
