this is a pair of baby Morchella esculenta mushrooms. the genus Morchella has a bone-like, sponge-like head. there are more beautiful mushroom portraits from the kinoko-ya site. this one doesn't even look like a mushroom. membrane, goblets, hallucinate, tentacles, blue, red, brain, inverted, ooze, blob, flat, cone, fleshy, jellyfish, coral, kale.
