since i've been doing such a terrible job with the blog in the last few months, i've decided to call it quits for now. the feeds are overwelming and there are many more better blogs out there now so mine won't be missed. i'm going thru a lot of changes right now and need to focus on other things. perhaps when my life is a bit more stable, i will blog again. thank you for reading....

i won't be reblogging much this week as i'm launching my jewelry line on saturday. i decided to time it with the open studios event the loft building i live/work in is having this saturday nite. most of the units will be open for visitors' perusal and there will be paintings, photography, sculpture, fashion/jewelry for sale. there will also be a band, a few DJs, and video projections. the website for my jewelry will be launched that day.

if you're in Los Angeles looking for halloween plans, please come to this multimedia event at LACMA put on by The Terpsichore Group. there will be some amazing sound and projection artists and the museum will have an after-hours viewing of Renoir to Matisse (personally, i think it would've been cooler and more appropriate if they had a halloween-related exhibition scheduled around this time, like Eerie Surrealism or something). anyway, i won't be performing but since my friends are, i got roped in to do a number of things, including video-documentary.

some friends and i will be attending/participating in High Desert Test Sites, the annual event for experimental art sites, hosted/started by the lovely Andrea Zittel. we're camping on the newly acquired land that is right around there. i'll be sure to post the photos i take.

this weekend, a dear friend, spot draves, will be staying with us. he does the famed Electric Sheep and Bomb graphics. check out his dvd that he recently put out (it's sold out now but there is a re-release soon). this weekend, he's speaking at Dorkbot SoCal and doing visuals at the Red Alert event later that nite. if you're in LA, check them out and let me know if you'll be at these events.

it has been almost a decade since i last went to magic mountain and i forgot how fun it is. the X ride is excellent Xcellent!

i went to see the Yes Men movie on the premiere nite with my friend Shana Ting Lipton and this is us with the skintight gold lamé jumpsuit with the surveillance phallus. also, there is a flash-less photo of the filmmakers.

i went on a roadtrip this summer and took photos in Arches National Park, Utah; Zion National Park, Utah; Biosphere 2, Arizona; Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico; Colorado, Tennessee, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

i'll be working the visuals at the global Earthdance this weekend in Los Angeles. see if there's an Earthdance party near you. i haven't been to an outdoor dance party since i moved to LA from san francisco in 2001 so i'm looking forward to shakin my booty!
