 Ground Up: Photographs of the Ground in the Margins of Los Angeles, a new exhibit opening soon in LA, CA, will consist of aerial photos with maps of soil types superimposed. "A deep gash becomes a landfill, a mountain is scraped for houses, a trench becomes a road, a deep shaft becomes a mine and the mine begets a mountain of tailings." part of this exhibition is a tour (tickets on sale monday 9/8/03). |
