Shana Ting Lipton just announced that she put her latest write-up, "Art Imitates Life-Science," on her site. the topic is one of my favorites: the bio art movement, specifically an account of her experience at the festival L'Art Biotech. this is her with orlan, one of my favorite performance artists. her projects really challenge ideas of what's "God-given" and concepts of beauty. also in Shana's article are bio-art stars Joe Davis, Symbiotica, George Gessert, and Eduardo Kac.
